1> Mandvi beach:-

This tiny island can be ventured in half a day by foot as it’s a mere 6 kilometer stretch. Situated in the coastal side of Gujarat, the waters of Mandvi are great for catching fish. 1>Kavaratti:

It is the headquarters of the U.T Administration since 1964. You have enough time to explore the island. The beautiful calm lagoon forms an ideal spot for  headquarters of the U.T Administration and basking on warm sandy beaches. Marine life exhibits can be seen at the marine aquarium which has excellent collection of specimens. Do not bother if you are not a good swimmer, we have made viewing the exotic underwater world easier for you through our glass bottomed boats. We provide on hire kayaks & sailing yachts. The Dolphin Drive Centre is another attraction for water sports enthusiasts. Tourist availing “Taratashi” package to Kavaratti stay in the tourist huts at the tourist complex. One can visit Kavaratti in Coral Reef and Taratashi packages.
Kalpeni:-

Kalpeni has three uninhabited satellite islands, each surrounded by an immense lagoon of spectacular beauty. Sunlight on the water causes it to sparkle and flash like a million aquamarines. Koomel, the gently curving bay where the tourist facilities are located, directly overlooks Pitti and Thilakkam, two of the islands. Here you can swim, reef walk, snorkel or use water sports equipment like kayaks and sail boats. Tourist facilities have been augmented and tourists can stay in privately managed huts. The lagoon is especially rich in coral life.

A particularly fine lagoon, of even depth and an endless shoreline, perfect for swimming, makes Kadmat a haven of solitude. The tourist huts are situated away from the inhabited side of the island, with only the splash of the waves to break the silence. During the day, when the beat of the overhead sun becomes too strong, the feathery network of coconut palms provides a canopy through which light dimly filters green and cool. It is the only island with lagoons on both the eastern and western sides. A Water Sports Institute has been set up. Accommodation consists of AC and non-AC tourist huts aesthetically situated amidst coconut palm groves close to beach. The island is becoming increasingly popular with honeymooners. A Scuba Diving Centre has been set up and wonderful dives are possible.

Minicoy:-

Furthest from Kavaratti island, 200 km. away to the south and nearer to the Maldives, Minicoy displays a lighthouse built by the British in 1885. Visitors are allowed to the very top. The lagoon is one of the largest in Lakshadweep. The green of coconut trees and the mirror-like surface of an inland lake as it nestles in one corner of the island provide an immensely beautiful seascape. Minicoy possesses a culture very different from the other islands – in dress, language and food. There is a cluster of 10 villages, called Athiris, each presided over by a Moopan. A walk through the winding lanes of the villages can be culturally rewarding. Minicoy is renowned for its dance tradition: the lava dance is performed on festive occasions. There is a Tuna canning factory. Tourists can stay in privately managed cottages.

Agatti:-

This island is best known because of the only airport which is situated here. This island has become the gateway to Lakshadweep and has a beautiful lagoon. A 20 bed tourist complex has been set up here.

Bangaram:-

Like the other islands luxuriant plantations of coconut provide coolness even during the hottest part of the day. There are three uninhabited islands in the same atoll consisting of Tinnakara, Parali-I, Parali-II. These are easily accessible by outboarding, sailing rowing and, for the adventurous, by kayaking or wind-surfing. All the islands share the same lagoon, an enormous bowl of turquoise blue. There is a large variety of coral fish-angel, clown, butterfly, surgeon, groupers, turtles, not to mention the abundance of adrenaline generating sharks, manta rays, sting rays and moray eels. Diving here is an addictive experience, and any diver will be proud to display the stamp of dives at Bangaram. The philosophy is to preserve marine life in its original state of purity, where coral and the shell and marine life are left undisturbed. Honeymoon at Bangaram Island:- 

The Island Hideaway of Bangaram island resort is some 200 miles from Kerala to the south west of India in the Arabian Sea, and is one of the Lakshadweep Islands. Normally it is accessed by a flight from Cochin to Agatti, then onward by boat for a 90 minute ride. Getting onto the boat at Agatti is an experience in itself, as you get onto a raft, and then they tow you out to the boat!! You instantly feel this is a real hideaway holiday, and your tropical island resort is going to be a bit different. Take good recommendation and fly Kingfisher and not Indian Airlines for reliability.

It is the ideal romantic honeymoon getaway, a lush green uninhabited island covered in coconut groves, and formed like a teardrop. It is encircled by pristine white sand and a big lagoon, and is part of a coral atoll with another 3 islands, all of which can simply be reached form Bangaram, by outboarding, sailing or rowing, kayaking or windsurfing if you find the need to be energetic.

It is probably the way the Maldives were before mass tourism arrived, because the coral reefs are ablaze with color and packed with fish because as yet they are comparatively unexplored.

If you would like a tropical holiday on an island hideaway, or a romantic honeymoon getaway, then Bangaram may be your ideal destination or as a part of a package including time in the Kerala part of India.

You need to grasp this island hideaway, while ideal for a romantic honeymoon getaway, or for folks who want to play at being castaways, it isn’t at all for folks attempting to find luxury. If you want the trappings of a 5 star resort, just don’t go.

Bangaram itself contains thirty sheds which has a number of family sheds in twin/double cottages. There are no TVs, phones or air-conditioning, and to complete the island getaway feeling there are no newspapers so you will be utterly out of effective contact with the tensions of the modern world. Each hut is tiled, on the beach, and has a palm thatched veranda, ensuite lavatory, ceiling fan and a refrigerator. The accommodation is simple but very comfortable, but please note there is no hot water.
