It is believed that a saint meditating on a hill near Lake Pichola directed him to establish the capital, because it is surrounded by Aravallis, forests and lakes, making it safer than Chittorgarh.

Pleasant winters and scanty rainfall characterizes the climate of Udaipur. Though temperature rises to 40ºC in summers, but mostly it is tolerable and is around 30’s.

 

How to Reach Udaipur:-

1> By Air:

Udaipur has a good network of air services linking it to from New Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad and Mumbai. Nearest airport is Dabok Airport, which is 21 km from the city centre.

2> By Train:

It is well connected to and from all the major cities of India such as Chittrogarh, Ajmer, Jaipur and Delhi by trains. Palace On Wheels is a major attraction of course. The railway station is 4 km from the heart of the city.

3> By Road:

The roads are smooth and link Udaipur to various major cities of India such as Delhi, Jaipur, Chittrogarh, Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Indore, Kota, Mount Abu and Mumbai. Thus, there are bus services to and from Gujarat, Delhi and major cities of Rajasthan that end at the bus terminal, 2 km from the railway station.

1>  By Car:-

Khopoli is a 30 km ride from Panvel on the Old Bombay-Pune Hihgway.
It is seen from Highways about 1000 meter. Be prepared for a small (and fun) hike across a stream to reach the waterfall base.
Check for the directions at Khopoli and turn off the highway after the bus stand.
It is named so because of the near by Zenith company.

2> By Train:-

It is 5km away from khopoli railway station.You can esily get an auto from there.

How to reach Pandavkada Waterfalls Kharghar?

1> By Train:-

Kharghar is in Navi Mumbai and can be accessed to Harbour route. Catch up a train from Mumbai CST from the Harbour route and with one and half hour you are at Kharghar. As soon as you get down at Kharghar Station, take richshaws which will take you to the waterfalls. You can also get down at Nerul Station and take up a bus or taxi.
You can also take up local train from dadar to reach kharghar.

2> By Bus:-

The Bus route is more comfortable option than train, as there are several KDMT, NMMT and BEST buses plying regularly connecting Navi Mumbai with various cities like Kalyan, Thane and Mumbai. The latest A/C Volvo buses are very convenient and comfortable on these routes, though they charge a little more than the regular buses. The few NMMT buses that ply to Kharghar include 26 (from Thane), 29 (from Thane), 44 (from Dombivli), 52 (from Taloja), 53 (from CBD), and 54 (from Ghansoli). The BEST buses that connect Kharghar with Mumbai include 504 (from Vadala), 503 (from Sion) and AS – 503 (from Wadala). Kharghar is easily accessible from Pune, since it is located on the Mumbai – Pune Highway.

3> By Car:-

The best route by road from Mumbai to reach Kharghar in private cars or vehicles is to take down the Sion – Panvel Highway.

The best season to visit is during the monsoons and soon after monsoons, when the rain isn’t too much. The waterfall is frequented by visitors between June till early September when the waterfall is at its glory.

If you are planning to visit it with your family sunday will be the best day for it. On other days there are college groups from nearby colleges who visit it frequently and in large numbers.
